In June we have organised an exciting curriculum week for all the pupils, the focus of which is World War One. The teachers have planned age appropriate tasks and activities to enthuse and inspire the pupils.
We have asked local potter Julie Fowlers to work with the pupils to create our own smaller version of the Tower of London poppy display. As you can imagine, this will take much longer than a week to create, so she was in school this week for the first of three visits. On this occasion she worked with each class helping the pupils to make a poppy before taking them away to be fired.
