Our school currently has 81 pupils and is organised into 4 classes: Maple Class is for Reception and Year 1; Willow Class is for Year 2 and Year 3; Chestnut Class is for Year 4 and Oak Class is for Year 5 and Year 6.
Year groups are generally kept together unless there is a serious imbalance in the size of classes. All classes contain children of mixed ability, and thus a variety of teaching methods are used, depending on the subject matter, the interest of the class and the facilities or resources available to them.
The delivery of each subject has been carefully planned within a rich and creative curriculum, so that the children cover all programmes of study at some time during their time with us. This is facilitated by the use of Teaching Assistants in each class. This has resulted in the creation of rolling programmes of two- and three-year duration.
Welcome to Maple Class! Maple Class is the first class in our school and has children from Reception and Year 1. We have a lovely big classroom inside and an even bigger classroom outside which we can use everyday for painting, role play, sand and water play, riding on bikes and much more.
Willow class is a mixed group of Y2 and Y3 children. It is taught by Mrs Dunn and Mrs Sefton who are two very experienced teachers. They work closely together to provide a challenging, relevant and stimulating curriculum for all the children.
