2nd half of term

Date: 15th Dec 2024 @ 6:30pm

Well, this term seems to have flown and we have been extra busy in Chestnut Class, rehearsing for our brilliant ukelele concert, which I'm sure you'll agree was a great success!

In week 5, I took the Year 4 children to an Advent Experience at Meysey Hampton, which was a lovely morning. The children were able to take part in different activities including an advent 'waiting' activity, along with some art and crafts.

Last week was of course the pantomime, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We were also able to get a sneak preview of the EYFS/KS1 nativity, perticipated in an extra PE session with Mr Wood and concluded our work on mindfulness with Mrs Bird. In addition, we created some gorgeous cards for the community and continued with most of our usual lessons.

This week looks set to be another busy one where we will be finishing our light-up Christmas cards and rehearsing songs for the service on Wednesday, as well as a French version of Jingle Bells and our re-written 12 Days of Christmas song, to share with the reast of the school on Thursday.

Although it is a fun time of year, I am aware that some of the children (and adults) are feeling rather tired and we will try to have some calm, down-time during the week.

Wish us luck!

Together we live, learn and flourish
