On Friday of last week we really enjoyed having the parents in school at the reading cafe.

This week we have enjoyed our second swimming session and we are all already improving. In English we are continuing with Leila and the Blue Fox and have written persuasive letters using the subjunctive mood. In maths Year 5 have continued to look at place value, but this week up to 1 million. The year 6 children have started a new unit on decimals and are learning how to multiply and divide decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. We have continued to learn about the Vikings in history, and this week explored how close the Vikings got to taking over England.
