This week we have been enjoying the book 'The Arrival' in English. We have had some very interesting discussions about immigration and how it might feel travelling to another country. On Tuesday we looked at the Michael Rosen poem Everybody comes from Somewhere and wrote some poems of our own in his style. In maths we ave moved onto looking at geometry, with the Y5 looking at nets of shapes and Y6 looking at coordinates. 

All the children enjoyed starting our new geography topic of the USA and used atlases to locate different places and physical features found in America. In science we completed an interesting investigation into the properties of different materials: whether they were magnetic, conducted eletricity or were transparent.

We are also all looking forward to Children in Need day this Friday and dressing up!
