Chestnut Class week 2, term 1

Date: 21st Sep 2024 @ 10:42am

Another busy week has flown by in Chestnut Class.

We have written using senses and imperative verbs for our work on Leon and the Place Between and have continued with place value work in maths. Mastering Number sessions have been introduced to our morning routine and are going well.

The Year 4s started swimming this week and Mrs Paxford was very proud of all, particularly those children who had less experience in the water.  Meanwhile, Year 3 stayed at school for PE with me and practised stopping a ball, control and dribbling skills.

The Gloucestershire Music teacher, Lee, was incredibly impressed with the whole class for the way they participated in this week's session. They are making great progress and we are only on week 2. I will be inviting parents and carers in for a short performance to showcase our ukulele skills in term 2. Details will come out nearer the time...

We are enjoying our class book, The Wild Robot, which has been made into an animated film due to be relaesed next month!

Together we live, learn and flourish
