End of term 1

It was a pleasure to speak with the parents of Chectnut children in the last week of term. The class has settled well and Y3 have really stepped up into the KS2 role. 

Our long writing pieces for Leon and the Place Between were fabulous with th children working hard and imaginatively to create their own version of the story.

In Art, the children have drawn some super still life images, using care and thought to recreate the objects before them. 

Of course, we finished off the term with a great day out at The Corinium Museum, where the children got to try different Roman activities including playing board games and making mosaics; dressing as people of the era; learning about and sorting pottery and food items, as well as getting a good look at the fantastic Roman artefacts on display.
