Spring 1
Date: 10th Jan 2025 @ 1:29pm
A cold and frosty first week back in school this week. In English we have started our new topic on the suffragettes and their battle to give women the right to vote. This week we wrote a persuasive letter to Mr Gladstone, setting out the reasons why women should get the vote. In maths the year 6 have been looking at angles and y5 have been exploring multiplying numbers by 10, 100 and 1000. We have all enjoyed listening to Beethoven, who is our school composer of the month. All the children produced some fantastic drawings of ships based on the picture ‘A Shipwreck in Stormy Seas’ by Claude-Joseph Vernet.
