Term 2 so far!

Date: 24th Nov 2024 @ 4:31pm

We have had a great start to term 2 so far.

Chestnut Class have been continuing to learn the ukelele with Lee from Glos Music and are doing great! We enjoyed cooking 'Roman inspired' chicken dishes with Mel, last Friday and have written some fantastic retellings of the opening of The Mermaid of Zennor from different points of view. The elctricity topic is a great one for hands on, practical learning and is producing lots of problem-solving opportunities. It has been great to see some of the children helping others to light their bulbs, sound their buzzers etc and all the class have drawn some fantastic circuit diagrams. In RE, we have been learning about the Trinity and the children have been discussing and representing what the Trinity means to them. The Mindfulness sessions with Mrs Bird are a relaxing way to spend an hour on Mondays and we are learning how to pause and take time to focus on what is happening to our bodies and minds. Our geography unit is really making us think about food miles and fair trade and in Art we have started thinking about Christmas, preparing cards to be delivered to the village.

As a reminder, please ensure that your child brings a coat that is warm, as well as waterproof, to school every day. Thanks.

Together we live, learn and flourish
