Term 3 week 1
Date: 14th Jan 2024 @ 4:23pm
We have had a great first week of Term 3 in Chestnut Class and it has been so lovely to see the children back in school, ready to work, and with super attitudes.
A lot of this term links to environmental issues and so we have researched Greta Thunberg, ahead of writing her biography this week, as well as learning about fast fashion in DT.
Science began with ideantifying solids, liquid and gases, and thinking about the properties of each. The children then had a challenge to set free their tiny resin ducks held captive in ice cubes. They all did what they could to melt the ice as quickly as possible, so that it became liquid.
In Geography, we found out about Antarcrica - where it is, the size, landscape etc.
It feels like this is going to be a great term!
