Week 1 Term 1

What a whirlwind of a first week back! 

It was so lovely to get to meet the new Y3 children this week, and to welcome back our Year 4 students. 

We began with some really fun science activities linked to our Forces and Magnets unit. This gave an introduction to forces, push and pull force, gavity and friction. Our favourite activity was the marshmallow launchers!

We also started to look at possible reasons why the Romans would turn their attention to Brittania, as well as looking at the Noah's Ark story in RE.

A lot of week 1 has been about settling into the new class, setting up routines etc. It has taken a little longer than expected to get the children set up on the Chrome books and Times Table Rockstars. Their passwords for the latter will be sent home this week. 

As spelling groups have not yet been established, there was no homework for this week. That will begin this Friday.
