Willow class Term 3 Week 4

Date: 31st Jan 2025 @ 1:36pm

What an incredible week we have had! it has flown by! We loved having the author visits this week, especially Hannah Shaw and Unipiggle. We have had a fantastic week creating our own story island maps. Some of us have even started to create our own stories. Y1 have been looking at 11 and 12 and Y2 have begun to learn their 2x table. In Science we looked at how stretchy different materials are and enjoyed testing different weights on the spring. In Music we learnt a new football chants, looking at syllables and clapping. Next week we will be using percussion instruments to play the chant. In Art last week we used pastels to create a houses of parliment cityscape. In Geography we have also learnt all about the continents and where China and the UK are on a map.

We have enjoyed:

  • creating our artwork using the chalk pastels - George.
  • Drawing a pug from Pugs of the Frozen North - Grey.
  • Making zero goggles to help with our counting - Penny.
  • Learning the continents song - Archie and Bea.
  • Partitioning 11 and 12 - Gracie.
  • Science club - coke and mentos to create an explosion - Raf.
  • Learning the wh sound in phonics - Alicja.

Have a fabulous weekend!
Happy Friday!
