Willow class Week 1 Term 3

Date: 10th Jan 2025 @ 12:27pm

Welcome back to term 3! We hope you have had a restful Christmas and start of the new year.

In Willow class this week we have introduced our new class text 'Send for a superhero' and created Wanted posters to put up around school to warn everyone of Filth and Vaccuum the villians who have been stealing and covering the school in slime. In Computing, we looked at different music pieces ready to create our own in Chrome music lab. We have looked at medicine safety with the help of Harold the giraffe in PSHE. In maths, Y1 have been looking at number bonds to 9 and 10 and Y2 have been looking at multiplication. We have also started our art day project, we have begun to tie dye the background and each made a boat.

We have enjoyed this week:

  • English - creating a poster. Archie
  • Making split pin superhero in explore and learn time - Charlie, Finley.
  • Creating tie dye pieces of fabric - Ivy and Roberta.
  • Writing my own Stitch story in the Writing area - Bea.
  • Learning the 'ture' sound this week and going to the year 3000 - Roman.

Reminder of events coming up:

  • We are now going on our walk around the village on Thursday 16th January due to Young Voices. Please ensure children on this day have wellies in school and are layered up.
  • Please ensure Y2 children have wellies and lots of layers on for Forest school each Friday.

Have a fabulous weekend,
