Please click on the files tab below to access information about how reading and writing is taught in our school.

New for 24-25 academic year: We are excited to be following The Literacy Tree for English. This is a comprehensive scheme that focuses on teaching through texts and engages children to write with purpose. The curriculum road maps for each class can be found in the files section.

Spelling: We follow the Twinkl spelling scheme, which covers all statutory spellings and patterns for each year group.

News update:

  • After last year's success, we are thrilled to be apart of this year's Year of Reading Project with The Corinium Trust.
  • Plans are afoot for Ampney Crucis' 2nd Literature Festival to be held early in the new year!
  • We will be launching the fun, interactive element of Twinkl spellings, soon. Keep an eye out for your child's login details.
